For a better future

Adopting the motto 'For a Better Future', the Kurdi Group (KG) flourishes Jordan with new era of entertainment, elegant lifestyle and a bonding with the perceptions of other cultures.

"In recent years, the KG has become an attractive investment private family business in the Middle East," Vice Chairman Salameh Kurdi said.

Possessing a capital of 350 million dollars, KG accomplished many projects in the Kingdom including Abdoun Mall, Macca Mall and the recent Green land.

"Abdoun Mall is the first experience in luxury shopping in Kingdom," the vice chairman said.
Established in 2001, and located in one of the most prestigious areas in Amman (the capital of Jordan), Abdoun Mall is considered the first experience in luxury shopping in Jordan.

"We promise people "Shopping with Style", which is the slogan we adopted in Abdoun mall," he said.
The mall provides almost 74 eminent brand names, as well as the expansion for addition of cinemas, grocery markets of about 4000 m2, restaurants and retail, he added.
In 2003 Mecca mall was officially opened.

"It is the most gigantic mall in the country," Kurdi said. "It revolutionised the idea of shopping in Jordan, giving everyone access to quality shopping within a wide range of prices."

With its total built up area of 195,000 m2, and around 450 different brand names, Mecca Mall became the core of shopping in Jordan. Nevertheless, the mall witnessed a huge expansion "to endorse the needs of customers," Kurdi commented.

Around 40% of the shoppers are tourists and foreign visitors, while more than 60,000 wandering visitors find their way weekly to the mall.

"People enjoy coming to the mall for a secure and welcoming atmosphere, and to spend their leisure time in a convenient and comfortable manner," the vice chairman said.

According to Kurdi, the KG will take the mall for another phase of extension which holds a shopping mall area assisted with a four-star hotel of 350 rooms, office tower, as well an outdoor entertainment areas with a gross built-up area of 350,000 m2.

To present the Kingdom with different pattern of projects, the KG constructed the Green Land project.

"We like to provide people with a new concept of living by designing," Kurdi said.
The Green land is built on an area of 1000,100 m2 merging with 900 unites.

"As its name conveys, Green Land is a step towards a healthy greenish environment which upholds not only the basic needs of individuals, yet furthers its quality services via the range of all proper safety conditions," he added.

According to the vice chairman, Green Land offered the residents with a selected prototype, bringing them together into one harmonious society.

As for further plans, a series of interior malls are anticipated such Aqaba Mall and Resort in the central location of the Aqaba free trade district, which would include an assortment of water resorts together with shopping malls and a four-star hotel, and entertainment venues, as well as an aquatic park with modern playing appliances.

In addition, The KG is in the process of opening a chain of malls in the region such as Shahba Mall with a four-star hotel in Aleppo, Syria. Furthermore, KG plans to initiate Abdoun Project in 2006.

"The project is going to include a multiplex cinema with a five-star hotel, office tower, a shopping centre containing a hypermarket, along with an entertainment and leisure centre that obtains 18 cinemas with an indoor arena capacity of 10,000 person," the vice chairman said.

The project is foreseen to commence at the end of the year 2008.

"The trust which Kurdi Group enjoys as a Real-estate Development Company of commercial and residential occupation is revealed from a long-standing reputation of commitment and professionalism in the region. What is given to us is handled with the utmost care," he concluded.
