Qatar has one of the world’s healthiest hotel occupancy rates, averaging 85%. The country’s booming economy and political stability have contributed to the record-setting growth of this tiny emirate on the Persian Gulf. Now, with Doha’s very own Four Seasons Hotel and Spa, the Qatari capital is home to a landmark property of one of the finest luxury hotel brands.

Standing 18 stories high, the hotel is built of stone in traditional Islamic architectural style, featuring wind towers, columns and geometric patterns. Crowned by two Arabesque domes of lattice work which hint of Moorish influences, this impressive building has already become an icon on Doha’s waterfront.

"Everything in this hotel is bespoke or custom made exclusively for this particular property. The chandeliers, the furniture, even the USD $2 million in artwork on the walls, all were specially commissioned for the Four Seasons in Doha," said General Manager Simon Casson. A veteran hotelier with sixteen years of experience, including at the Four Seasons in Washington, DC and in London, Mr. Casson is the consummate professional.

"I’ve been in hotels in Doha for the past two years," he said. "I was here when the hotel was being built. I walked the site with my hard hat every day to make sure every last detail was completed." Mr. Casson even personally interviewed each of the 500 employees prior to hiring them. "The Four Seasons only operates upscale luxury hotels, only the best hotels. Service is obviously an integral part of that and I wanted to be sure we were employing the best people available," he said. Doha’s Four Seasons Hotel and Spa has certainly secured a place as one of the finest luxury hotels in the Middle East- not an easy feat considering this region boasts one of the world’s highest concentrations of five-star hotels.

The hotel boasts a waterfront setting on the prestigious West Bay, a private marina where gleaming yachts float, red clay tennis courts, and an incomparable three level spa. Mr. Casson said, "This was designed to be a destination spa. We wanted it to be something so special that people would come to Doha just to experience it." The spa facilities include the first hydrotherapy lounge in Qatar, a hydrotherapy pool, cool and warm plunge pools, a Kneipp foot bath, heated laconium beds, a laconium room, a color therapy room and a meditation room. The spa also features two double treatment rooms, a tepidarium for wraps and scrubs, a Thai massage room and five single treatment rooms.

There are separate men's and women's lounge and relaxation areas, lockers, hydrotherapy treatment rooms, and wet areas with Swiss showers, sauna, ice room, steam room and showers. Complimentary juice, water, tea and fruit are offered in the relaxation areas.

Also in the spa complex is a state-of-the-art fitness centre offering a wide-range of cardiovascular equipment furnished with individual audiovisual monitors and headsets. The fitness center also features an aerobics studio and two squash courts.

Close to key corporate and diplomatic destinations, the Four Seasons ensures convenience and comfort in their spacious, productivity-enhancing guest rooms. From high-speed Internet service to superb international dining to highly personalized, multilingual service, every detail advances the art of business in Doha.
