Belize Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Said Musa speaks on increasing competitiveness of the Caribbean Region

Prime Minister of Belize, Rt. Hon. Said Musa addresses the Joint Session of Experts Forum and Private Sector Dialogue on the theme: "International Competitiveness of Caribbean Countries". Mr. Musa is just one of five speakers who will tackle the issue of measuring and developing the competitiveness of the Caribbean region on the global market and improving the investment climate in the region.

Mr. Musa is leading a delegation from Belize which includes Foreign Affairs Minister Hon. Lisa Shoman and Ambassador H.E. Amalia Mai. Members of Belize's private sector are also attending the Conference.

Mr. Musa, who has who has lead responsibility for Sustainable Development (including Environment and Disaster Management) in the CARICOM quasi Cabinet of Heads of Government, will lobby for support in that area
during the three day conference.

On Wednesday, Dr. Kenrick Leslie of the Belize-based Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) will make a presentation on the efforts of the Centre in the area of environmental security in the region.
