A Country Peppered with Paradores
In all regions of the country, with the exception of the Balearic Islands, there are numerous Paradores where the travelers can make a stop on their journeys. It is difficult to go very far without coming across a Parador in which to spend an evening or enjoy a good meal. The 93 establishments are evenly distributed across the map of Spain. With a total of 16 establishments, Andalusia is the region with the most Paradores. It is followed by Castilla y León, with 14 establishments; Galicia, with 11; Castilla La Mancha, with 8, and Extremadura and Catalonia, both with 7. The rest of the regions, which are smaller in size, have excellent Paradores, including the Canary Islands with 4.
